”Työskentelen teoksessa menestyksen käsitteen parissa. Olen haastatellut tanssi- ja esitystaiteilijakollegoitani heidän ajatuksistaan omasta ja muiden menestymisestä. Kutomon residenssijaksolla puran ja abstrahoin keräämääni haastattelumateriaalia ja muita menestymiseen liittyviä uskomuksia konkreettiseksi liike- ja äänimateriaaliksi, josta oma henkilökohtainen menestysteokseni muotoutuu. Vaikka menestyminen ja menestyksen tavoittelu liitetään helposti opportunismiin ja pinnalliseen pyrkyryyteen, en lähesty aihettani ironisen piikikkäästi, vaan yritän pikemminkin löytää tien omaan henkilökohtaiseen menestykseeni saamiani oppeja hyödyntäen. Pohdin, voisiko menestys olla enemmän kuin vain selviytymistä tai opportunistisen pyrkimisen tulos. Mitä se voisi silloin tarkoittaa, ja mitä sen saavuttamiseksi vaaditaan?” – Rea-Liina Brunou

What kind of performances have been bestsellers in contemporary dance in the past couple of years? Which artists become successful and why? The content of the piece is based on collegial interviews and intimate testimonials on the subject of success. The performance is asking and investigating whether it is possible to specify and extract the ingredients of a successful dance performance.
