Pienoisesityksessä The End Jouni Järvenpää ja Maija Reeta Raumanni tanssivat valikoiman loppuja tulevalle teokselleen, jonka suunniteltu ensi-ilta on vuonna 2017. The Endin koreografiassa tekijöiden mielenkiinto on liikkeen ja läsnäolon unisonossa sekä esityksen viimeisten minuuttien mahdollisuuksissa. Esitys on jatkoa työparin aiemmissa teoksissa Sovituksia raunioista ja kuvajaisista (2013) ja Valkoinen valas (2015) alkaneelle abstraktin liikkeen tarkastelulle.

XS Vol.8: Jouni Järvenpää and Maija Reeta Raumanni: The End
The End is a miniature performance in which Jouni Järvenpää and Maija Reeta Raumanni dance a selection of possible endings for their future performance. In the choreography of The End the focus is on exploring the unison of movement and presense, and the possibilities of the last minutes of a performance. The final performance will have its premiere in 2017, and it continues the makers’ search for the abstract in a dance performance, which started in their previous choreographies Arrangements of Ruins and Visions (2013) and The White Whale (2015).
