Lempeää kesää!

Ehkä-tuotanto on lomalla kesä-heinäkuun, mutta Kutomon residenssissä työskentelee taiteilijoita koko kesän ajan!

Kesäkuun alussa Kutomolla työskentelivät Hanna Ahti, Anna Mustonen, Masi Tiitta ja Anna Torkkel uuden teoksensa La Mer parissa. Kesäkuun aikana residenssissä ovat myös Happy Bodies -työryhmä eli Sanni Giordani, Pietari Kärki, Sofia Palillo, Justus Pienmunne ja Pauliina Sjöberg sekä Marja Ahti, Florian Feigl ja Essi Kausalainen, jotka työstävät XS-festivaalilla nähtävää uutta teostaan Parantava astia – Healing bowl.

Heinäkuussa residenssiin tulevat työparit Rachael Dichter ja Mira Kautto, Jan Nyberg ja Tuuli Vahtola sekä Maria Nurmela ja Renae Shadler. Nurmela ja Shadler jatkavat residenssityöskentelyään Susurrus -teoksensa parissa myös elokuussa yhdessä äänisuunnittelija Samuel Hertzin ja valosuunnittelija Kalle Ropposen kanssa. Lauantaina 11.8. Susurrus -teoksen työryhmä järjestää yleisölle avoimen presentaation.

Hanni Holmström, Paula Lehtonen, Elina Minn, Mikko Piispa, Saara Piispa ja Anna-Sofia Sysser muodostavat työryhmän, jota yhdistää kiinnostus pohtia taiteen tekemistä suhteessa ympäristökriisiin. Heinä-elokuun vaihteessa tapahtuvan residenssityöskentelynsä päätteeksi ryhmä avaa työtään Kutomolla lauantaina 4.8. nähtävässä presentaatiossa. Laura Jantunen ja Ilmari Paananen työskentelevät Kutomolla elokuun alussa monivuotisella projektillaan, joka tarkastelee videota koreografian muotona ja kinesteettistä kokemusta siinä.

Kutomon syyskausi alkaa Turun Taiteiden yönä torstaina 16.8. Antti Tolvin (QI)GONG Äänikylpy -työpajalla sekä Laura Jantusen ja Ilmari Paanasen Videon koreografisuus ja kinesteettinen empatia videossa -presentaatiolla.

Have a gentle summer!

Ehkä-production is on vacation in June and July, but artists are working in Kutomo residency the whole summer season!

In the beginning of June Hanna Ahti, Anna Mustonen, Masi Tiitta and Anna Torkkel worked on their new performance La Mer at Kutomo. The other residency artists in June will be the Happy Bodies working group formed by Sanni Giordani, Pietari Kärki, Sofia Palillo, Justus Pienmunne and Pauliina Sjöberg, and Marja Ahti, Florian Feigl and Essi Kausalainen who are making their new piece Parantava astia – Healing bowl to be performed at the XS festival in November.

In July the artists working at Kutomo will be Rachael Dichter together with Mira Kautto, Jan Nyberg together with Tuuli Vahtola and Maria Nurmela together with Renae Shadler. Nurmela and Shadler will return to Kutomo in August to continue their work on the performance Susurrus together with sound designer Samuel Hertz and light designer Kalle Ropponen. On Saturday 11 August the Susurrus working group will organize an open presentation for public.

Hanni Holmström, Paula Lehtonen, Elina Minn, Mikko Piispa, Saara Piispa and Anna-Sofia Sysser form together a working group interested in the relation between art making and environmental crisis. At the end of their residency, on Saturday 4 August the group will share their work and process in an open presentation at Kutomo. In August Laura Jantunen and Ilmari Paananen will work at Kutomo residency on their three year research project about video as a choreographical practise and the video image’s possibility to evoke kinesthetic empathy in the spectator.

Kutomo’s autumn season starts on Thursday 16 August with Antti Tolvi’s (QI)GONG Sound Bath workshop and the presentation Video as a choreographical practice and Kinesthetic empathy in video by Laura Jantunen and Ilmari Paananen.
